Conservatory Roofs
Replacing a conservatory roof is becoming ever more popular. It gives you a chance to replace your roof, which may have suffered from wear and tear, with a roof that has a more thermal value or something more modern. A roof can be changed without any unrest to the existing window / door frames below.
This means you finish with a nice new look and limit the cost too. A change of roof includes a more suitable and stronger design which has an aluminium structure with UPVC cappings. Polycarbonate can be changed to energy efficient glass – self-cleaning if required.
Conservatory Roofs
A more modern design of conservatory roof is a lantern style roof, this consists of a flat rubber roof with a pitched style glass roof on top. These are normally used on an orangery style conservatory.
The newest kind of conservatory roof is a thermalite roof, this consists of a timber / aluminium structure, fitted with 100mm Kingspan insulation inside, thermal plasterboard, and fully plastered to the exterior roofing felt. As well as a choice of plastic roof tiles fitted to match your home and finished with a fascia board and guttering. This gives you more of a house extension look, but with a lighter and more energy efficient roof.
